CRUNCH START OFF HOT!

  For the sixth year in a row, the Cleveland Crunch start off their season opener on the road, And for the sixth year in a row the Crunch open their season with a win. The Crunch cruised to a 17-6 win over the Lansing Red Cedar this past Saturday night. If you follow the Crunch you already know it was more of the same. For those that are NOT in the know, you will find out fast how the Crunch operate. 


By the time the match reached halftime the Crunch had a commanding 10-1 lead. Bozak, Jannis, Pewu, Omar, MIke Derezic, Admir, and Swann all chipped in to give the Crunch the lead at the half. The second half was more of the same as Crunch head Coach Antonio Manfut turned up the heat on the Red Cedar. Mike Derezic, Admir, "The Captain" Dave Jordan, Swann, Pewu, And Jannis again all combined for Scores against the Red Cedar. The Red Cedar tried to get back in the match but by the time their offense made a push it was all but over. 17-6 was the final score when it was all said and done. The Crunch Showed dominance and have already made a case that they will be out for blood all season. 


The Crunch have the week off, but will be back in action December 20th as they are back on the road against the Summit City United. The Crunch have not lost against the United so far in MLIS play, so don't Expect that to change. After the match with Summit City the Crunch will have the Holiday break off and then will return to the Pitch January 10th at home against the Rival Chicago Mustangs in what is arguably the best rivalry in all of  the MLIS.
